Sommerset, de countryformatie uit Driebergen, bestond in eerste instantie uit de drie broers Sommer. Wanneer zangeres Rosina zich bij Sommerset voegt, krijgt de band meer vaste vorm. De groep bestaat dan uit
Hans, Ronald en André Sommer, Guus Paat, Pim Fuchs, Ernst Makily.
In het midden van de jaren zeventig scoren zij enkele grote hits die de traditionele country en western een warm hart toedragen. De groep treedt zelfs op in het mekka van de countrymuziek: Nashville, in the Grand Ole Oprey en waren te gast in een bekend televisie programma zowel in Nashville als in New York waar zij ook in optraden. Naast de singles verschijnt ook het vinyl album.
